Hoot Fire & Security, a specialist systems integrator based in the East Midlands approached Vital Trace to assist in a requirement with one of their clients.
The client, a large distribution and logistics company with depots all across the UK, had an existing system which was using traditional broadband services to connect CCTV and Access control at all of their remote sites back to central location for monitoring.
Over the years the broadband system performance was in places running slow and combined with unwieldy contract terms and the forthcoming announcement of all old legacy circuits being shut down Hoot Fire & Security approached Vital Trace to look at a cellular alternative, where not only would a reliable connection be required but also encryption and importantly static IP addressing and unlimited data.
Vital Trace proposed the IP Air static IP addressing solution along with the latest 5G router technology with enhanced carrier aggregation functionality to ensure optimal connectivity even in areas where on 4G is available. This tailored along with IP AiR ability to run with any network operator meant that a mix and match of networks was supplied, dependent upon which supplier had best coverage in each location.
Chris Brown of Hoot Fire & Security commented. “Working with Vital Trace on this requirement enabled us to provide a cost effective solution to our client that worked seamlessly with the existing systems with a far better performance than was being provided under the old legacy solution.“
